Last May 12, Electrolux held its Doom of the Broom Culminating Event at the Via Veneto Function Room of the A. Venue Suites Makati. Top qualifiers for the Doom of the Broom Contest were invited to the event, and out of 30-ish candidates, ten entries were chosen. Each of the ten winners was awarded with a hot new Electrolux Dynamica.
Azure’s Chef Philippe prepared a sumptuous dinner buffet of chicken teriyaki, fish fillet, boiled veggies and fruit desserts. Exquisite dinner, monsieur ^_^
Charade and weakest link games followed after Electrolux’s Product Manager Andrea Pionilla made her opening remarks. Winners were given T-shirts, Spa GCs and a vacuum-cleaner-design flash disk.
And then came the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the announcement of the winners! Jigs and I were eyeing on the long row of Dynamica cleaners beside the stage, and crossing our fingers that we’d be bringing home one (pwede rin two, hehe) at the end of the night.
Here are the list of winners:
9th Place – Butchie Dublin of Filipina Explorer
Yours truly bagged ninth place (akalain mong naka-angkla pa!) – or technically, tenth, since there two 5th placers. Yay! May vacuum cleaner na kami ^_^
8th Place– Lariza Garcia of Mom’s World of Art and Happiness
7th Place- Pehpot Pineda of At Home Here
6th Place– Ruth Cruz of Ruthilicious
5th Place – Richard Mamuyac of Mapanghingikaba.blogspot.com
5th Place – Pia Rosauro of Something to Live By
Unfortunately, Pia wasn’t able to attend the event as she is in Naga. She sent her brother as a proxy. Pia brought home an Electrolux rice cooker on top of a Dynamica for being the earliest early bird (the first blogger to have submitted an entry to the contest)
4th Place – Ellen Castel-Cayaba of Mommysinfodose
3rd Place – Arvin Ello of Imagine Green
2nd – Rowena Wendy Lei of http://www.animetric.blogspot.com/
Rowena is a certified “contest addict” and has won several blogging and essay writing contests throughout the years (she swore to have made a career out of joining contests), including the Philippine Star and NBS’ My Favorite Book contest.
1st Place – Aeirin Acosta of Pinayads.com
