with fellow bloggers, some to meet brands and businesses.
could-be-overwhelming one. Not born magoo or overly interactive, I tend to go
all nervous in huge gatherings – especially one that involves ultra-famous
figures like, I don’t know…Vince Golangco?
the Philippines’ “biggest business-to-blogger event of the year”.
With tens of influential brands and over 500 blogger participants to date (and
counting), I don’t doubt that at all.
2011 by When in Manila founder Vince
Golangco, Blogapalooza is an annual communion of businesses and bloggers of all
stripes that features insightful talks, premier products and a rich B2B
networking experience. Businesses present products and services on-stage and in
their respective booths, bloggers are handed the products to peruse and review,
and in between, they converge and network (note to self: don’t forget your calling
cards AGAIN). I read they even have a comedy cartel this year. Should be fun,
alike), Blogapalooza can be summed up in one word: opportunities. Shiny,
spanking new, perhaps even long-lasting ones. More than the free products to
test (seriously, let’s not look at events as loot bag generators. It leaves a
bad taste in the mouth), the event serves as a venue for brands and bloggers to
interact and establish the foundation of future collaborations – which, in this
a digital age seems apt, considering that bloggers are among today’s biggest
it. I’m a first-time attendee after all. Check out this
helpful post by two-time attendee Rikx to have a clearer overview of what
to expect during the event.
September 20, 10am to 9pm at the SM Convention Center 1 & 2 of SM Aura Taguig.
