Lemme get this straight: The following review is not my personal opinion. It was written by Britt Hayes of Screencrush.com (Original file including the photo can be found at http://screencrush.com/50-shades-of-grey-movie/). I was just curious what 50 Shades was about because fellow moms from the n@w community seem to be so engrossed with it. So much so that half of my daily n@w digests (which is equal to 10-15 emails per digest; I receive about 5 digests per day) are flooded with fiery talks about this controversial book.
What made me more curious was that despite its purported massive BDSM content, Heart Evangelista is currently reading it and considers it, uhm, “Strong. Really strong. But really good.” You kinky diva, you!
But because I already have more than 50 to-be-read books still unopened on the shelf, I prefer to read reviews first before seriously considering buying another one.And judging on this review: ’”50 Shades of Grey,’ …is written by E.L. James…a woman who loved ‘Twilight‘ but was annoyed that there wasn’t enough sex in it.”, I probably wouldn’t bother anymore.
First of all, Twilight: Eeew. Second, I ain’t into erotica (and the stereotypical tall, rich and perfectly chiseled male characters). I’m no prude. It’s just not my cup of tea. I didn’t even like Eleven Minutes by Paolo Coelho. I consider it trash compared to his other books.
So. Again, not my personal opinion, but found it absolutely entertaining. A bold, witty, hilarious and best of all, unpopular take. Just the way Iike it. Hehe.
WHAT EXACTLY IS ’50 SHADES OF GREY’ (AND WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE MOVIE)?
